Volunteer Fire Department

The Watson Fire and Rescue Volunteer Fire Dept serves the Town of Watson, RM of Spalding, RM of Lakeside, RM of St Petes, and  RM of Leroy.

This fire department is part of a larger mutual aid group which consists of providing and receiving assistance from surrounding communities.

The department consists of 18 – 20 members that undergo training and practices throughout the year. They respond to Motor vehicle collisions, structure fires, grass fires, and any other emergency that may arise.

To help fund the departments operational expenses the department is actively involved in the community with awareness and fund-raising events. This includes having BBQ fundraisers, an annual golf tournament, as well a street fest event with entertainment and socializing. Our  volunteer fire department is an active group  within the  local business district  and RM’s on any major projects that require fundraising and  participated with  vehicle extrication demonstration at our local school.

The Fire Hall is available for booked tours of smaller groups . It is always a pleasure seeing the excitement the  local daycare brings to our hall.    Join our dynamic group of volunteers.
